CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

For the 4th cycle, of the International Flagship conference on Water, Energy, and Environment for Sustainability (IC-WEES), the NUST School of Art, Design & Architecture (SADA) is pleased to announce the notion of Design for Solutions as its central slogan for the conference. The contemporary issues of environmental sustainability and the dilemma of depleting resources create an opportunity towards a hands-on solution-oriented thinking modules and innovative approach towards problem solving. The conference offers a succulent platform for interdisciplinary collaboration between thinkers, researchers, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to develop a dialogue through the lens of design thinking. This conference serves as a pivotal arena for intellectual engagement and pragmatic discourse, focusing on the amalgamation of innovative design paradigms within the overarching realms of sustainability.

Papers

You must submit the short abstract/design by the 19th August AoE in order to submit the final extended abstract by the 15th September AoE. IC-WEES 2024 papers will follow an updated revision & resubmit process. Authors can read more about the rationale behind it in this post by the paper chairs.

Important Facts

Revise and Resubmit: IC-WEES  Papers will continue with a revise and resubmit phase for abstracts above a certain threshold, where authors have the opportunity

to respond to reviewer feedback and improve their abstract as part of our review cycle.

Submission of the initial Short abstract: Submissions of 500 words or less are strongly encouraged. Paper template

Extended abstract: Submissions between 700 and 1400 words.

All accepted Abstracts will be published in an international proceeding.
